A fire started in the basement of a house in Cambridge, but officials say it’s not suspicious.
Firefighters showed up to the home on Weaver Street around 7 a. m. Thursday after someone reported the blaze.
They found flames down in the basement and put them out quickly.
According to officials, working smoke alarms helped wake up the people inside. Still, paramedics checked out two residents from the lower unit and took them to hospital.
The full damage from the fire hasn’t been figured out yet.
Even though the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office was told about it, a representative from Cambridge Fire says there’s no suspicion surrounding this fire.
