The annual heritage plant sale will be happening at the Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum Saturday morning from 9:30 a. m. until noon. The Elora Plein Air Festival runs all weekend long. Artists have been out painting around the village and countryside since late Friday. There’s a quick-paint contest on Saturday, then that night they’ll show off paintings by 75 different artists. On Sunday, you can buy an original piece made during those days.

The warm weather is here at last, which means it’s perfect for watching sports outside on a big screen in Cambridge’s Gaslight District. Catch Toronto Blue Jays games Friday night and both Saturday and Sunday afternoons against Detroit Tigers, or watch the Montreal Canadiens play Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night. Feel free to bring your own food, drinks, and lawn chairs to get comfy while watching.

On Monday, swing by Mc Dougall Cottage in Cambridge where it’ll be open with fresh mini scones baking – served with jam and whipped cream, yum! Plus tea, coffee or ginger cordial will be there too. Admission is by donation.

The Kitchener Rangers are taking a well-earned break before heading off to the Memorial Cup in Kelowna, B. C., but there will be a pep rally Tuesday at 5 p. m. outside Kitchener city hall.

The Kitchener Panthers have their home opener Sunday at 2:05 p. m. over at Jack Couch Park against the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers.

The Guelph Royals will be playing away this weekend.
