Ryan Eaton - Obituary - Northwest Ontario

It’s with a heavy heart that Ryan Eaton’s family shares the news of his sudden passing at home on March 1, 2026.

Ryan was born in Thunder Bay on February 12, 1993. He went to St. Paul, Bishop Gallagher, and St. Ignatius Schools. As a kid, Ryan was really into Batman, dinosaurs, wrestling, swimming, and camping. Snowboarding with his sister and friends was another thing he loved doing. Lately, he worked at Armstrong the Mover – which felt more like a second family to him. Music was his big love though. He poured his passion into playing guitar with his band. His friends meant everything to him. Ryan had serious talent as a musician-big heart too-and you couldn’t miss that big beard or hear without catching his voice filling the room. He always enjoyed going over to his parents’ place for supper where he’d basically eat whatever was in the fridge and then crash there overnight.

Ryan leaves behind his mom Cheryl, dad Steve, sister Jessica (Ryan), daughter Sophie, fur nieces Bella and Zoe, grandparents James and Diane Eaton along with aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him deeply. He was preceded in death by grandparents Edith and Bill Whitehurst as well as great-grandparents.

Cremation has been completed. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ryan’s life on March 21 at the Hodder Tavern starting at 2pm. If you’d like to donate in his memory, Dew Drop Inn would appreciate it.

Ryan lived life on his own terms – no shame involved, no nonsense.
