We’re saddened to share that David Ronald Taggart passed away unexpectedly on May 2, 2026.
About twenty years ago, Dave met Tricia, who became the love of his life. They got married and built a wonderful life full of love, laughter, travel, and many great memories.
Dave was a proud dad and stepdad to Tamara Bernard (Steve), Kevin Foekens (Rita), Zachary Taggart (Shylana), Kyle Foekens (Cassidy), Shaleena Ryan (David), and Abigail Taggart (Colin). He was also a loving Papa to Izzak, Trey, Stetsin, Amara, Athena-Rae, Jax, Adrieana, Gemma, and Ada-Lynn – all of whom meant the world to him.
He’ll be missed dearly by his siblings Sandra (Daryl), Robert, and Brian (Christy), along with his extended family like Angie & Sean Main, Bomber & Andrea, and Vincent Foresta.
Dave was the eldest son of Evelyn Taggart from London and the late David (Ronald) Taggart who passed in 2002. He was also a much-loved son-in-law to the late Pat and Dominic Foresta.
His dog Tillie will especially feel the loss since they shared daily walks that he always looked forward to.
Dave loved spending time outdoors. At just 17 he started working for the Ministry of Natural Resources. Before retiring he spent eleven years at the Office of the Fire Marshal. Over his career he made lots of friendships that stayed with him throughout his life.
Following Dave’s wishes there won’t be a funeral service. The family will have a private burial later on.
