We’re very sorry to share that Charles Arthur Parker passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, just shy of his 70th birthday. Charlie was born in Simcoe, Ontario and grew up in Boston with his mom Erna and dad Jim (who passed in 2012). He had brothers David (passed away 2021) and Dale (passed away 2025). He’s survived by his mother Erna; brothers Rick (Inday), Wayne, Scott (Carol); cousin Liz (John); plus several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces. Charlie lived in Cambridge with his partner Elaine Robinson (who also passed earlier in 2026).
A heartfelt thanks goes out to Lori for the care and support she gave to Charlie. Your promise to Elaine has been fulfilled.
Fishing was really important to Charlie. He loved spending time with his brothers at Big Creek and along various rivers and creeks near Lake Erie.
Following Charlie’s wishes, he was cremated and did not want any further ceremonies.
We appreciate Tri-City Cremation Services in Cambridge for their help during this time.
If you’d like to honor Charles’ memory, donations can be made to Cambridge Memorial Hospital or Grand River Hospital Regional Cancer Clinic.
Next time you catch a fish, enjoy that moment – think of Charlie.
