The UK snooker champ calls Cambridge his base
Neil Robertson regularly trains at WT’s Snooker Club in Cambridge
Cambridge is known for lots of famous people, but this might be its biggest sports star.
Neil Robertson, who just won the UK snooker championship after an intense final last night, calls this university city home.
Born in Australia, he’s widely regarded as the most successful international player in snooker.
If you want to improve your snooker game, you can often find him practicing at WT’s Snooker Club right in the middle of Cambridge.
Robertson – a dedicated vegan and fan of Chelsea football club – was born on February 11, 1982, in Melbourne, Australia.

He’s left-handed and turned professional when he was just 16 before moving to England to chase his snooker dreams.
His international success has earned him over £5 million from tournaments – with his latest win last night netting him £200,000.
He faced off against England’s Judd Trump during the UK Championship final held in Milton Keynes.
Only a frame separated them throughout the match. Robertson pushed it to a decider with a cool break of 72 after Trump missed an easy red while leading at 48 points with the title almost within reach. p >
