Come join us on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 6:30pm over at 15 Main St Cambridge for the launch of “Commuting Communities.” This exhibit showcases projects from undergrad students in the Winter 2023 semester, focusing on ideas to boost housing density near future ION stations in Cambridge. The designs aim to be affordable, safe, and inclusive while also building a strong community vibe. The studio looked into what it takes to make Equitable Transit-Oriented Development (ETOD) happen around these stations, including ways to plan and fund developments that bring about more welcoming neighborhoods while tackling big topics like affordability, reconciliation, and gentrification bias.
This event is FREE and open to everyone, so we hope to see you there!
The exhibition runs from September 15th-29th, 2023, daily from 4:30-7:30pm.
