TORONTO, ON (January 2, 2025) – Chick-fil-A® is opening two new restaurants in Ontario this month, keeping up its steady growth across Canada.
These two new locations are locally owned and operated and will bring about 170 jobs combined. Both spots will offer dine-in and take-out options, while the Chick-fil-A at Cambridge Centre will also have a drive-thru for guests.
New Restaurants Coming to Ontario
• Chick-fil-A Rideau Centre is set to open its doors on Thursday, January 9 in Ottawa. It’s inside the CF Rideau Centre Food Court at 50 Rideau Street and will be open from 10:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m., Monday through Saturday. The Owner-Operator chosen for this location is Hussein Tohme, who’s from Ottawa and has experience managing teams at several national restaurant chains. He’s looking forward to connecting with the community by creating jobs, working with local groups, and serving great food with warm hospitality.
• Chick-fil-A Cambridge Centre will start welcoming guests on Thursday, January 16 at 405 Hespeler Road in Cambridge. Their hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a. m. to 10:00 p. m. Olivia O’Brien (nee Efford) is the Owner-Operator here as well as for Chick-fil-A Kitchener-making her one of only two multi-restaurant Owner-Operators in Canada for Chick-fil-A. She’s excited to expand her impact in Waterloo Region by offering fantastic guest experiences, helping her team grow, and making sure everyone feels safe and included.
Locally Owned and Operated
The franchise model is a big part of how Chick-fil-A works. Most restaurants are run by one person who owns it independently-not just investors sitting back-but people who work side by side with their Team Members every day.
The daily work involves hiring around 70-100 full- and part-time staff members, serving customers, building ties with local businesses and groups, plus focusing charity efforts where they’re needed most.
Quality Ingredients; Delicious Food
Chick-fil-A prides itself on giving guests a friendly atmosphere alongside tasty food-like their original Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich.
This sandwich uses a whole boneless chicken breast without any fillers; it’s breaded then pressure cooked in fully-refined peanut oil. To keep things fresh, produce gets delivered up to six times weekly so every bite tastes great. You can check out more about what they serve here.
Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich & Key Lime Drinks
To kick off the new year right, Chick-fil-A is bringing back the Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich along with introducing Key Lime Beverages-all available across Canada starting January 7 but only for a limited time.
The Grilled Spicy Deluxe packs some gentle heat with tender grilled chicken breast seasoned with bold pepper spices topped with Cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato on a toasted multigrain brioche bun-and comes with creamy Cilantro Lime Sauce on the side. The new Key Lime Lemonade and Key Lime Frosted Lemonade add bright citrus flavors perfect for warming you up during winter months. You can grab these items while supplies last at all Canadian Chick-fil-As.
Making a Difference Locally
Since 2020, Chick-fil-A has given roughly C$2 million (US$1.46 million) to Second Harvest which supports local groups fighting hunger. Second Harvest rescues surplus food across Canada that would otherwise go to waste and redistributes it to nonprofits nationwide-helping reduce food waste AND feed people.
The two new restaurants will join the Chick-fil-A Shared Table™ program too-a project that takes leftover food from participating stores straight to soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and other nonprofits feeding those who need it most.
So far over 30 million meals have been made possible thanks to Shared Table donations coming from more than 2,200 Chick-fil-As throughout Canada and the U. S.
Investing In Team Members
Local Owner-Operators focus heavily on hiring talented folks who want to grow into leaders while working in an environment filled with purpose and support. A job at Chick-fil-A offers hands-on training plus mentoring opportunities along with competitive pay & benefits plus scholarships for education-you can even find work-life balance here! The Brand’s Expansion Across Canada
Chick-fil-A reached its goal of opening twenty Canadian locations by 2025 ahead of schedule-and plans continue toward long-term growth aiming for seven-to-ten new restaurants annually now onward! They’re looking for franchise owners across Canada who think like entrepreneurs-passionate about good food served fast but also care deeply about hospitality.
