The Club is excited to share that it has teamed up with an American production company to release a three-part documentary series on CBS Sports at the beginning of the 2025/26 season..
The series will have half-hour episodes and gives the Club a chance to tell its story first to audiences in the US and Canada, with hopes for more seasons and global rights sales down the line.
The episodes will air as part of CBS’s coverage of the EFL, which they hold US broadcasting rights for until the end of the 2027/28 season. Matches are streamed on Paramount+, CBS Sports Network, and CBS Sports Golazo Network.
Filming starts after the 2024/25 season ends and aims to capture all the end-of-season excitement on the pitch, while also showing off the club against Cambridge’s famous city backdrop through its fans and key people involved.
Other episodes will dive into the Club’s history, highlight Cambridge as where football’s rules began, and give a peek into pre-season activities along with kicking off 2025/26.
CEO Alex Tunbridge commented on this news saying, “This is not the first opportunity of the kind we have been presented with however, with the forthcoming rebrand and the recent changes to our football operations we believe now is the right time to share the Cambridge story overseas.”
“We have a lot to be proud of as a club and as a city and we hope to use the CBS Sports platforms to educate and engage a new audience. CBS Sports have more than 50 million subscribers and we hope to be able to share a piece of Cambridge with as many of them as possible.
“Initially this will be a modest production in terms of scale and scope, although we hope to be able to continue filming and produce a further set of episodes which will tell the full story of the 2025/26 season, be this via CBS Sports or other worldwide platforms.”
