Cambridge firefighters rescue two from apartment blaze

Two people were rescued by Cambridge firefighters from a fire that broke out in the southeast part of the city last night.

The fire department shared on social media around 10:30 p. m. that they responded to an active apartment fire at the end of Linnwood Avenue, close to Dundas and Franklin.

According to the post, those two individuals were pulled out safely from the apartment affected by the flames.

There was no information given about whether anyone was injured during the incident.

The fire, which took place in a three-story building, was quickly controlled by the crews on site.

Now, a Cambridge fire investigator will look into how the fire started and if there’s any reason to suspect foul play.
