We are deeply saddened to share that Mr. Victor Nathaniel Henry Pelletier passed away at the age of 55. Vic was a proud member of Fort William First Nation and was born on July 31, 1970.
Family and friends often called him Hys or Hyson. He liked watching hockey and baseball, but what he really loved was hanging out with his Dad watching wrestling. One of the things that made Vic happiest was spending time with his nephews and nieces.
Vic worked in many different jobs over the years-everything from firefighting to working as a labourer for the union. He also spent many years helping his father with church duties; he stood by him during funerals, weddings, said opening prayers, and attended weekly services.
Victor leaves behind his father, Reverend Mr. Victor Pelletier Sr; siblings Kelvin (Denise), Anne (Rocky), Shelley (Wil), and Tara (Scott); as well as nephews and nieces Amanda, Jesse, Cody, Krystal, Kelvin Jr., Jasmine, Zamber, Savannah, Camryn, Luke, Matthew, and Max. There are also many uncles, aunts, and cousins who will remember him fondly. And not to forget his loyal furry companion Big Boy who never left his side.
He was predeceased by his loving mother Maureen Pelletier; brother Timmy; nephews John Labelle and Shay Boucher; plus grandparents Frank and Kathleen Pelletier and Patrick and Annie Mc Guire.
The funeral service is set for Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Family and friends will come together for Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Anne’s Mission Church with Rev. Biju Mathew leading the service. Burial will take place afterward at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Visitors can pay their respects Tuesday evening from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at St. Anne’s Mission Church where Vigil Prayers will start at 7:00 pm. The Blake Funeral Chapel at 200 May Street S is handling arrangements.
