With heavy hearts, the family shares that Robert Guy Crnkovic passed away in Thunder Bay on March 1, 2026. He was 39 years old.
Robert was born on March 29, 1986. He worked hard throughout his life, taking on many jobs-from pursuing his red seal certification in roofing to being a paint specialist at Bombardier, driving a taxi, and various other labor and service roles. One of the most meaningful parts of his work was helping at-risk youth in mental health.
Rob had a creative side; he loved writing and performing music and poetry. He was always trying to grow spiritually and personally, wanting to understand more about the world and support those around him. Outdoors activities, sports, reading, and picking up new languages were some of his interests too. We admired Rob’s bravery, resilience, and how well he connected with people.
He will be missed by his mother Linda (née Trevisanutto) Pauluik and Gord Pauluik; brother Matthew Crnkovic; sisters Amy Urquhart and Michelle Le Blanc; as well as step-sisters Venessa and Melissa Pauluik. His father Mike Crnkovic passed away before him.
Everyone is invited to celebrate Rob’s life on Sunday, March 29, 2026 from noon until 2:30 p. m., with tributes starting at 12:30 p. m., at the Current River Recreation Center located at 450 Dewe Avenue in Thunder Bay.
