Paul Colosimo - Obituary - Northwest Ontario

It’s with heavy hearts that the family shares the news of Paul Colosimo from Murillo, Ontario, who passed away suddenly from a heart attack on Saturday, April 25th, 2026.

Paul was born March 27th, 1959 in Fort William.

Paul had so many great traits. He was hardworking, friendly, adventurous, kind, and thoughtful. He had lots of friends and a big heart. He was always ready to lend a hand. Paul took great pride in whatever he worked on-especially fixing and restoring all kinds of vehicles. Racing stock cars was his passion. He really knew how to tweak each car for top performance aiming for that next big win. Back in the day, he won plenty of races and was tough competition. Folks called him “the bomber,” racing as #77 in his 1968 Beaumont.

He loved riding his Harley, downhill speed skiing, and had a thing for chariot racing too. Anything fast caught his attention-he was always up for an adventure.

Paul’s love as a dad to his daughter Tori-Ann Colosimo was something special – proud doesn’t even cover it. They shared a bond over their need for speed just like her dad. Paul backed her every step of the way, especially with her training horses and barrel racing passions. He wasn’t just a father but also her friend and mentor through daily calls and tons of father-daughter trips over the years.

He cared deeply for his partner Janie too. He helped get her gardens ready and supported all she did work-wise. Together they built a little bunky and sauna at home where they enjoyed daily time together doing things they loved. Their connection was strong-a rare kind of love that lasts forever.

Paul Colosimo leaves behind his partner Janie Swearengen (Sheleena, Ashley, Krista), daughter Tori Ann Colosimo (Cody), mother Anita Colosimo, sister Karen Kutchyera (Warren), brothers Michael & Mark Colosimo plus many nieces and nephews who’ll miss him dearly.

You’re invited to celebrate Paul’s life on May 15th at 1pm at Murillo Town Hall. For those wanting to help out Tori moving forward we’ve set up a trust fund-any donations would mean a lot.
