We honor the life of Donna Theresa Mahoney, who peacefully passed away in her sleep on the evening of Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in Orillia, Ontario.
Donna was born on November 24, 1945, in Campbellton, New Brunswick. She was the sixth child out of eight to Patricia (Broderick) Mahoney and Norbert Mahoney.
She spent her career as a Teacher and Registered Nursing Assistant, caring deeply for others with kindness and generosity. Donna also had a love for writing poetry-especially about her family.
Donna was predeceased by her siblings Michael, Charles, Alexander, Alice and Lois. She is survived by her brother Bernard Mahoney (Eleanor), sister Linda Abbott, plus many cousins, nieces and nephews who fondly remember how she made Christmas extra special.
The family wishes to sincerely thank Paulette Tracey from Tracey House for the incredible care and support given to Donna over the past few years. A special shout-out goes to our nephew Rob Murphy who regularly visited and stood by Donna’s side in her final moments.
A private family memorial will be held later to celebrate and honor Donna’s life. Funeral arrangements are with Mundell Funeral Home in Orillia.
