Enzo Ernest Santin - Obituary - Northwest Ontario

October 26, 1934 – May 5, 2026

Enzo Ernest Santin quietly passed away on May 5, 2026, at Hogarth Riverview Manor, just shy of his 92nd birthday.

He was born in Chions, Italy on October 26, 1934. The youngest among five siblings, Enzo came to Canada when he was 19 years old. He settled in Fort William and started his own drywall business called Dansan Contracting.

Enzo always took pride in working hard and having a big generous heart. These values were something he passed down to all five of his kids.

On February 15, 1979, he married Maria Di Giuseppe. They shared many happy years together focused on family and friends.

After retiring, Enzo enjoyed hunting and fishing but really loved gardening the most. He often gave away more tomatoes from his garden than he kept for himself. His grandkids have fond memories of summers spent in Nonno’s garden and sitting around the family table sharing meals.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arcangelo Santin and Giuseppina Tofolon; his sisters Rina (Bruno) Moretti, Ines (Augusto) Del Bel Belluz, Aurora (Antonio) Rossit and Amelia (Mario) Donno; as well as by his first wife Milvia Pascot.

Enzo leaves behind his loving wife Maria; children Debbie (Tim), Gloria, Jackie (Marvin), Patrick, and Angelo (Carla); plus grandchildren Daniella, Olivia, Charlie, Joseph, Lukas, Isabella, Marcello, Juliana and Luca.

We want to say a special thank you to Lynda Bill who cared for him with great devotion along with the kind staff at Hogarth Riverview Manor who made sure Enzo’s last months were comfortable and peaceful. Our family truly appreciates their kindness.

A Funeral Mass will take place Monday May 11th at 11:30 a. m., held at St. Anthony’s R. C. Church with visitation starting at 10:30 a. m. If you can’t make it in person you’re welcome to join online via this livestream https://www. youtube. com/watch? v=o L7r XP0Rv Ig.

Instead of flowers donations can be sent to St. Joseph’s Foundation of Thunder Bay or any charity you prefer. You can also leave condolences online at www. sargentandson. com.
