Police are on the lookout for a suspect following a reported armed robbery at a shop in Cambridge.

Waterloo Regional Police officers responded just before 7:00 p. m. on Jan. 8 to a location near Elgin Street North and Linnwood Avenue, just north of Dundas Street North.

The police say the suspect threatened an employee with a knife and ran off with some cash and goods.

No injuries were reported, and witnesses last saw the suspect running away on foot down Linnwood Avenue.

The person they’re looking for is described as a man about 5’8″ tall, dressed in dark clothes.

Officers are asking residents along Linnwood, Hilltop, and Alison avenues to review their security footage from that night in case it shows anything useful.

If you have any information, please call police at 519-570-9777 or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or by clicking here.
