They already run a shop in Long Melford

An “outstanding” family butcher’s is planning to open up another store in Cambridge. Clark & Son Butchers, which operates from Long Melford High Street, will be launching a second location in Newnham.
The company is run by Justin Clark and his son Jake, who also helps out day-to-day. They’ve made a name for themselves by selling top-quality meat and want to bring the same offer to the new place.
One happy customer left this on Google for their original spot: “Fantastic, lucky to have such an amazing butchers on the doorstep, their customer service is first rate and quality of meat and selection is outstanding.”
The new shop will have a classic butcher’s counter with plenty of meats and ready-to-eat meals as well as freshly baked savoury treats like sausage rolls.
Renovations are underway at the Newnham site. The team shared: “The new shop needs a lot of love, but we’re working hard behind the scenes to give it the same warm, traditional look and feel as our Long Melford home.”
Leon, who manages their current Long Melford store, will take charge of the new branch too and plans to split his time between both shops once it opens.
Justin Clark said: “We are incredibly proud of what we’ve built in Long Melford and are excited to bring the same quality and service to Cambridge.”
Besides selling direct from their stores they also supply great meat products to pubs, restaurants and other independent butchers across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk.
