William “Bill” Foulds, age 84, from Thunder Bay, passed away quietly at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Friday, May 22, 2026, with family close by. He was born May 19, 1942 to Albert and Dorothy Foulds in Port Arthur, Ontario. Bill went to Prospect Avenue Public School and Hillcrest High School.
He married Jane (nee Austin) on January 17, 1970. This year marked their fifty-sixth wedding anniversary. Bill was a devoted dad to his son Darren and loved spending time with his grandsons Nathan and Thomas.
Bill worked for Doran’s Beverages-later Pepsi Bottling Group-for thirty-seven years before retiring in 2002. He liked playing slow-pitch baseball, curling, golfing, gardening, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed travelling and cherished time spent at the family camp on Whitefish Lake. Bill was a member of the Port Arthur Curling Club and helped start The Voyagers Hunt and Fish Club.
He leaves behind his wife Jane; son Darren (Jennifer); grandsons Nathan and Thomas; sisters Diane and Mary; brother-in-law James (Linda); plus nieces and nephews Rori, Doug, Lisa, Shannon, Ashley, Ryan, Kara, Jill, Zachary, Kelsey and Jesse.
Bill was predeceased by his parents Albert and Dolly Foulds; parents-in-law Ray and Ena Austin; sister Margie; brother-in-law Donald.
Cremation has been completed.
A graveside service will be held for family and friends on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Mountain View Cemetery at 11:00am with Pastor Allan Piper leading. A reception will follow at noon at the Da Vinci Centre.
