With heavy hearts, the family of Karen Elizabeth Sarrasin shares that she passed away on Thursday April 16th, 2026, after a brief but brave fight with cancer. She was an amazing wife, Mom, Oma, and great grandmother.
Karen’s husband Norman, her kids Krista-Lynne, Darrell (Diane), and Geoffrey (Jenn), along with grandchildren Aurora (Joshua), Julia, Carson, Ryan, Jayden, Allie, Ulannah, Vaylee-Rayne and great grandchild Sawyer are all mourning the loss of someone truly special.
She was predeceased by her parents Bill and Joan Baker and her sister Patricia. Now at 75 years young, Karen is finally at peace.
Her only brother Bill Baker (Mary Anne) and all her in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins remember her fondly with their own stories.
Following Karen’s wishes cremation has already taken place. The burial service will be held at Nipigon Cliffside Cemetery on Saturday July 4th, 2026 at 11AM. A celebration of life will follow that same day at noon at the Nipigon Legion.
