JOHN HILARY LYNCH
We’re sad to share that John Lynch from Cobden passed away peacefully at Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, just shy of his 85th birthday. John was married to Florence Lynch (nee Walsh). He was a proud dad to Tim Lynch (Teresa) and Darcy Lynch (Jennifer), and a loving grandpa to Brendan, Owen, Jack, Kiley, and Megan. He also leaves behind his brother Danny Lynch (Carol). He was predeceased by his parents Hilary and Mary Lynch (nee Enright) as well as his brother Connie Lynch. John spent many years working for the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario. He loved hanging out at the hunt camp, playing hockey, and joining in card games. What made him happiest was being around family and friends, traveling back and forth between Cobden and Douglas with lots of stops at Mount St. Patrick along the way. Friends can visit at Fraser-Morris & Heubner Funeral Home in Cobden on Friday, March 27 from 2-4 pm and again from 7-9 pm; then Saturday morning from 9:30 am until 10:15 am. The funeral Mass will follow at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Douglas starting at 11 am. Spring burial will be at St. Pius V Roman Catholic Cemetery in Osceola, Ontario.
