Pauline quietly passed away on April 8, 2026, with her family close by. She’s moved from this lively world to a peaceful eternal one. We find comfort knowing she’s now with her Lord and Saviour. She was the loving mother of the late Clare, Michelle (Tom Toole), Margo (Jim Yanchula), Catherine (Marcus Girgis), Therese (Benny Santoro), Charlie (Karen) and Denise. Proud Mémé to Sidney (Dan), Samuel, Mateja, Micah (Lyric), Sophia, Milo, Quinn, Levi and great-grandmother to Makaiah. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Claire Laforet and her brother Robert Laforet. Surviving are her sisters-in-law Arlene Laforet and Claudette Mc Lenahan. Many nieces, nephews, friends, neighbours and others who knew her will miss her deeply.
One of Pauline’s favourite spots was sitting at her kitchen table with loved ones – where she laughed, shared stories and really listened. A devoted Catholic all her life, she leaves behind a strong example of faith. Born and raised in Stop 26 in Riverside, she took pride in her family’s roots there. Her caring heart led her into nursing along with volunteering and helping out around the community.
