We’re sad to share that John Frederick Welsh passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. He was 64 years old.
John was well known in the community as a coach for KMFL, PMHA, and St. Peter’s Sr. Football team.
He leaves behind his wife Vicki; his children Sarah Jennissen (Gerard), Jonathon; and grandchildren Lila-Jane, William, and Margaret. He is also survived by his brothers Jim (Tracy) and Bill (Anita); his sister-in-law Nancy (her husband Bob passed in 2021). John was a caring uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough on Monday May 11, 2026 from 11 a. m. until 1 p. m. There will be some words shared in remembrance at 1 p. m., followed by a reception.
Instead of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the KMFL John Welsh Financial Grant.
