Passed away peacefully at the age of 91, surrounded by her loving family on April 17, 2026. She has reunited with her husband Wilfred (who passed in 2000). Loving mother to Phil (Mary Ann), Raymond, and Marie Hawkins. Proud grandmother to Amanda (Cameron), Robert (Kate), Natalie (Brandon), Derek, Grace, and Emily. She was predeceased by her siblings Ella (Edgar), Orville (Bonnie), Eleanor (Isidore), as well as brother-in-law Raymond (Mary Jane) and sister-in-law Pauline (Paul). She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In retirement with Wilfred, they enjoyed traveling across Canada and the U. S., especially their winters down in Florida. She liked playing cards and Bingo a lot, and took great pleasure in painting, crafts, and working on puzzles. Friday dinners with her ladies’ group were a special routine for her, just like Sunday trips to the fruit stand with her sister-in-law Pauline. She also took pride in being active with the Teamsters Retirement Group. At Seasons Royal Oak she stayed involved and loved meeting new people within their little community. Above all else, she adored her grandchildren deeply.
The family wants to express thanks to the staff at Sandwich Town at Village of Aspen Lake for their kind care and compassion during Pauline’s three years there.
