We’re heartbroken to share that Gaetano Farina, a truly kind man, passed away peacefully at 94. He’s now with his parents, Pombeo and Gacinta Farina. Gaetano was a loving husband to Carolina Farina-they spent over 68 years together. He was a devoted dad to Onorio (Anne) Farina, Valerio Farina, Maria Farina, and Gina (Jurgen) Kuehfuss. And “Nini” to Jeramiah Farina, Zachariah Farina, Dominique Le Blanc, Noah Kuehfuss, Ryan Kuehfuss, Jacob Farina, and Dylan Farina.
Gaetano proudly belonged to the Ciociaro Club for many years. You’d often find him volunteering or playing scopa or briscola there. He loved keeping old Italian traditions alive-gardening, making wine, and having family dinners full of stories. Everyone who knew him will miss him a lot.
Visitation is set for Thursday March 26th, 2026 at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd. E, 519-253-7235), from 2-5pm and again from 7-9pm. The funeral service will take place in the chapel on Friday March 27th at 9:30am with entombment following at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
