Cory Mitchell, from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, died on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the age of 38.
Cory was born on August 11, 1987, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. His parents were Anita Mitchell and the late Kenneth Mitchell. He grew up in the west end of Sault with great friends and lots of good times. He was very much loved by Ed Lemieux as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
People knew Cory for his funny side and interesting conversations. He really enjoyed being outdoors and learning about history. For many years he worked proudly as a USR at Enbridge Gas.
Cory took great pride in being a dad. He loved all kinds of music, spending time with family, fishing, hunting, and watching movies. Folks will remember how easy he was to talk to and how he could start a chat with just about anyone.
He is survived by his wife Rachel Mitchell; his son Jaxxon Mitchell; step-son Landon Solomon; and siblings Dave Mitchell and Shelley Mitchell (Myles), along with the late Paul Mitchell.
There will be a celebration of life planned for a later date.
