Randy Michael Ritchie Obituary January 24, 2026

Randy Michael Ritchie, born April 15, 1965, passed away suddenly on January 24, 2026.

He was born in Cobourg, Ontario, and spent most of his life living in Woodstock, Ontario, where he created a life filled with family, friends, and lots of great memories.

Randy is survived by his wife Sam Ritchie; his daughter Hannah Ritchie (Jordan); his stepdaughters Faith Hyde and Lauren Ficht (Golton); and his granddaughter Kinsley Bahnuk, who he proudly called “Papa.” Also surviving him are his mother Sharron Ritchie; siblings Colleen Moss (Rick), Garth Ritchie (Karen), and Wanda Rushton (Kenny); plus many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was a hardworking business owner who spent nearly all his career doing what he loved. Randy had a big personality and an even bigger heart. He was loyal to his friends, worked hard every day, and often brought the fun wherever he went. He loved riding his motorcycle – usually loud enough for everyone to hear – and never missed a chance to take someone along for the ride. Time with family and friends meant the world to him; there was almost always laughter involved along with a few cold drinks.

Though sometimes loud or rough around the edges, Randy was incredibly generous-he’d literally give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was an amazing dad who adored Hannah and took so much pride in being Kinsley’s Papa. He couldn’t stop showing off her pictures to anyone willing to look. Everyone who met Randy liked him right away. People will remember the thunderous sound of his Harley, the wild stories he told over the years, and how many people’s lives he touched along the way.

Randy lived life fully and loved hard. He leaves behind plenty of good times remembered through laughter, loyalty to those close to him, and love that won’t ever fade.
