February 18, 1941 – March 10, 2026
On an unusually warm winter day, “Big Al Mc Coy” passed away and joined the ranks of legends. He is survived by his wife and partner of 63 years, Janice (nee Gault). A caring father to Scott (Cathy), Hayley “Bird” (Jay), and Jason (Sabrina). Proud granddad “Pops” to Sara, Jayne, Nick, and Diana. Also a great-grandfather to Brooke and Lexi. Alan was preceded in death by his sister Norma Mc Cracken (Lyle).
He was a lifetime member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and Essex Golf and Country Club. Al had a sharp eye for detail with one of the most organized minds you could meet. He loved golf, curling, walking his dogs, enjoying a good glass of red wine, and spending quality time with his family.
Cremation has been completed. Memorial visitation will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – South Chapel (3048 Dougall Ave., 519-253-7236) until the memorial service starts at noon in the chapel.
