JOHNSTON, Christine Elizabeth “Tina” – Passed away suddenly on Wednesday April 8, 2026, at age 60. She was the loving wife of Randy Johnston and a proud mom to Josh (Michelle Bates) and Carleigh (Cory Hector). Daughter of Connie and the late John Sutherland, and sister to Susan Sutherland. Tina was also daughter-in-law to Jean and the late Murray Johnston. She will be remembered by her brother-in-law Dan Johnston and his wife Kristine. Tina ran her own business successfully as the owner of fandango Hair and Nail Design and Day Spa. In 2007 she received the Peterborough Business Women of the Year award. She chaired the Be A Goddess United Way fundraiser for nine years and acted with the Peterborough Theatre Guild, earning the Belleville Theatre Guild Acting Award for her role in “My Narrator.” A visitation is planned for Friday April 17, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Highland Park Funeral Centre, located at 2510 Bensfort Road. The service will begin at 1:30 pm followed by burial at Highland Park Cemetery. If you wish to honor Tina’s memory, donations can be made to Sick Kids Hospital.
