We’re saddened to share that Gladys (nee Seip) passed away peacefully at WRHN @ Queens (which used to be called St. Mary’s Hospital) on Saturday, January 17th, 2026. She was 98 years old.
She was the loving mom of Stewart, Robert (Sherry), and Cindy Kid.
A dear grandma to Jasmine, Tiffany, Corina Kid, and Lindsay.
Great-grandmother to eight wonderful kids.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald (2004), with whom she shared 52 years of marriage, and also by her brothers Donald, Russell, Roy, Harold Seip and sister Doris Stroh.
Gladys always said that being a mom, grandma, and great-grandma was what meant the most to her. Family truly was everything.
The family sends a big thank you to the staff and fellow patients on the fifth floor at WRHN @ Queens – your kindness and care made a huge difference during this time.
Cremation arrangements are with Henry Walser Funeral Home at 507 Frederick Street in Kitchener. You can call them at 519-749-8467.
If you’d like to send condolences in another way, donations to the Salvation Army, The Working Center or any charity close to your heart would be appreciated (cards can be found at the funeral home).
