Obituary of Dave Chiarotti | Windsor Chapel Funeral & Cremation

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Dave Chiarotti on February 17, 2026, at 61 years old.

Dave was a guy who really cared about loving and being loved. His happiest moments were spent out on the water, fishing for hours, soothed by nature’s calm. He also found meaning on land, quietly hunting and making sure his family was taken care of.

People knew Dave for his friendly nature, generosity, and laid-back sense of humor. He connected easily with folks wherever he went. Loyal to his friends and proud of the bonds he made over time-he was always up for chatting, laughing, or just hanging out in silence. Every year without fail he’d suit up as Santa Claus and ride his Harley around handing out toys to kids-lighting up the neighborhood with smiles and cheer. And honestly? He never missed a chance to stop for a beer and talk about life.

Dave leaves behind his mother Loretta; sisters Lisa and Floria; wife Tabatha Dugal; children Cassidy (engaged to Alex) and Monika (engaged to Cameron); plus grandkids Skylar and Beau. Also part of his circle are Tabatha’s daughter Amanda along with her brothers Rick and Randy, sister Christine and her husband Steve-and many friends who became like family over the years.

He’s now reunited with those who passed before him-his dad Italo, daughter Sara whom he loved dearly, stepson Adam, and former wife Myrna.

May Dave find peace in open waters, wide skies, and everlasting rest.

Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME – BANWELL CHAPEL located at 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 1-4 pm and again from 6-8 pm. There will be Words of Remembrance at 3:00 pm followed by cremation. A Celebration of Dave’s Life is planned for Friday, February 27, 2026 from 4-8 pm at the Riverside Sportsman Club. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ronald Mc Donald House Southwestern Ontario (Windsor site).
