Official Obituary

Honoring Colin Cummins

Colin Cummins, a key figure in Canadian baseball and a devoted family guy, passed away quietly on April 11, 2026, in Mississauga, Ontario, surrounded by his loved ones.

Colin’s life revolved around his deep love for baseball. Whether playing, coaching, mentoring, or running the Ontario Giants team, he gave his all to the sport. Baseball wasn’t just a pastime to him-it was everything. You’d often find him at the ballpark chatting about the game with anyone willing to listen, sharing his knowledge and excitement for what he truly loved.

More than stats and wins though, Colin’s real impact was on the people around him. He had a generous heart and always went out of his way to support his players and coaches with advice and encouragement. He didn’t just shape athletes; he helped build their character too-and that made a difference in everyone’s lives who knew him.

While we’ll miss seeing him at games, nothing meant more to Colin than his family. He was married to Jennifer and proudly raised two great kids-Sydnei and Logan.

He leaves behind his mother Juliette (Cummins), father Lionel (Roberts), and brother Don (Cummins). Many friends, relatives, and countless ballplayers will hold warm memories of him.

Colin’s kindness and devotion to baseball will live on through all those he encouraged. His commitment won’t be forgotten anytime soon.
