BIELECKI, Bronislawa - Obituary - Sudbury

Bronislawa (Bronia) Bielecki

July 1, 1945 – March 26, 2026

Bronia was born in Belgium and spent her childhood in England before moving to Canada with her family. She earned her degree from the University of Toronto and went into accounting, working as an auditor back when it wasn’t common for women to do that kind of job. People often asked, “Are they letting women do this now?”

She had a lively career auditing for the government and loved sharing stories about her trips through Northern Ontario’s wild areas and the people she got to know along the way.

Even though she was passionate about her work, Bronia cared even more about her family. She was always quick to offer help whenever needed. She looked after everyone with fierce dedication.

After battling cancer, Bronia passed away surrounded by support. She appreciated all the kind people who helped during that time-thanks to everyone at Northeastern Cancer Centre, Fourth Floor North tower of Health Sciences North, Ontario At Home, Palliative Care and Maison Mc Cullough Hospice. Special thanks go out to volunteers like Bryan from Tuesday chemo treatments and drivers from Wheels of Hope-you made a big difference.

Bronia has reunited with her parents Helena and Bruno and brother Andrew, who all passed before her. She leaves behind her brother John and sister Debbie who miss her dearly.

She asked that no service be held. Instead of flowers, please consider donating to a charity you care about.
