A 77-year-old woman from Guelph lost her life after a crash involving two vehicles in Cambridge on Friday morning.

Waterloo regional police arrived at the scene around 11:40 a. m. where a white Hino truck and a silver Subaru hatchback collided near Maple Grove Road and Speedsville Road intersection.

Officials said the Subaru’s driver, an 81-year-old man, was taken to hospital with injuries.

The woman from Guelph was riding as a passenger in the Subaru and was pronounced dead right there at the scene.
