A Grand River Transit bus veered off the road and crashed into a home in Cambridge after freezing rain on Wednesday made the sidewalks and streets slippery.
Waterloo regional police said officers got the call around 7:15 p. m. about a bus hitting a house near Franklin Boulevard and Edward Street in Cambridge.
Authorities explained that the bus driver lost control, with the poor road and weather conditions playing a part in what happened.
There were two passengers on board during the crash, but police confirmed no one was hurt physically.
Photos posted online from the scene show damage to the house caused by the collision.
Police haven’t said anything about charges so far.
As of Thursday morning, signs are still up closing Franklin Boulevard around Edward Street.
