Altercation of two groups of youth ends in stabbing

Waterloo Regional Police (WRPS) are looking for the person who was stabbed during an incident in Cambridge Saturday night.

Officers were called to the area around Elgin Street North and Bushnell Drive at about 9:30 p. m. after reports of a fight between two groups of youths.

When police arrived, they learned that one male had been stabbed. Another young man had minor injuries but didn’t want medical help.

The victim who was stabbed hasn’t been found yet, and police want to talk to him as part of their investigation.

Authorities think this attack was aimed at someone specifically, so they don’t believe there’s any danger to the public right now.

The case is still being looked into by police.

If anyone knows anything, please call Waterloo Regional Police Service at 519-570-9777.
