A man aged 75 has been charged following an accident in mid-December that resulted in the death of a three-year-old girl and left another person hurt.
He faces charges including dangerous operation causing death along with having an obstructed windshield while driving.
The man is set to appear in court later but authorities haven’t given an exact date yet.
The charges come from an incident near Westgate Plaza on Cedar Street in Cambridge on Dec. 11, when police got reports about a vehicle hitting two pedestrians.
The little girl and a 31-year-old woman were rushed to hospital. The woman suffered serious injuries but they aren’t life-threatening.
The driver wasn’t hurt during the crash.
This event led Cambridge city council to ask for the region to review pedestrian safety measures along Cedar Street.
