We’re excited to share the finalists for the very first Cambridge Independent Business Awards.
After a thorough judging process by a skilled panel, we’ve picked the shortlisted nominees in 14 different categories from a large pool of entries.
These finalists will be invited to attend the awards night at the stunning Great Hall of King’s College, Cambridge, on September 26, where we’ll find out who takes home the prizes.
The awards have Cambridge law firm Barr Ellison as their headline sponsor.
And this week we can also announce that Astra Zeneca has come on board as a sponsor, backing the Award for Collaboration.
This fits perfectly with Astra Zeneca, headquartered here in Cambridge, which works closely with academic and industry partners around the area.
Paul Brackley, our editor and chair of the judging panel, said: “We are delighted to reveal the shortlisted companies for the inaugural Cambridge Independent Business Awards. Congratulations to them all for making it this far.
“We were very pleased to see so many high-quality nominations coming in for the awards, which gave the judges a tough task. My thanks to the panel for their time and expertise and to FORA, in Station Road, for hosting one of our judging sessions.
“I would also like to welcome Astra Zeneca as a sponsor of these awards, and thank all our partners for their support.
“The black tie awards event at the Great Hall at King’s promises to be a fantastic occasion: a real celebration of the achievements of companies across so many sectors.
“From small to large, and from start-ups to well-established names, these awards represent a showcase of great talent. Good luck to all our finalists.”
