With Victoria Day coming up, many offices and businesses will shut down on Monday.

This includes most government offices, banks, plus elementary and high schools.

Retailers will see a bit of a change though. The Ontario government updated rules last month allowing more shops to open their doors on Victoria Day.

Certain Beer Store locations will also be operating along with LCBO outlets.

Your usual garbage pick-up isn’t affected – that goes as normal for garbage, green bin stuff, and yard waste – but transfer stations where you drop off waste in Cambridge and Waterloo won’t be open.

Grand River Transit will run on its holiday schedule. Mobility Plus services are available too but you’ll need to book ahead by calling 519-744-2241 if you use subscription trips or other bookings.
