04/15/1951 – 04/30/2026
It’s with heavy hearts that Gordon Pascoe’s family shares he passed away on April 30, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him.
Gord was a kind guy who had a real thing for cars and anything mechanical. He loved spending hours in his garage, always tinkering with whatever project caught his interest. He took pride in fixing or improving things, which gave him a sense of accomplishment every time. Gord went to Prospect elementary school, then Hillcrest and Hammarskjold high schools. After finishing school, he dove into the trades and trained as a mechanic at trade school in Sault Ste Marie, learning the ropes under Kings Automotive. He was really into race cars and never missed races at Riverview Raceway – eventually building and racing his own car for years. Gord married Susan in 1979; they were together for 25 years, built several homes together, and had two kids – Natalie & Robert. Using what he learned as a mechanic, he left King’s to become a successful Snap-On Tools dealer where he met Kenny, his future business partner. Together they bought an automotive shop called “Alloy Auto & Fleet Service,” which later became the OK Tire franchise in Thunder Bay. Even while working full time, Gord bought a camp on Maki Lake that he expanded into a year-round home featuring his dream garage – where he retired eventually. He enjoyed escaping to warmer places during winters until his health declined. Gord made the life he wanted by working hard and cherishing moments spent with friends and family.
He’ll be truly missed by everyone who knew him.
The family wants to thank Anne & her team on 3B at Thunder Bay Regional for their kindness and excellent care. A special shoutout goes to our dear family friend & Patient Advocate Victoria for going way beyond for Gord.
Gordon was preceded in death by his mom Ruby, dad Ken, brother Kenny, and sister Marlene. Left behind are his loving daughter Natalie (Kyle), son Rob (Danielle), ex-wife Susan, longtime friend Judy & several nieces & nephews.
A celebration of life will take place May 30th, 2026 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 5 on Van Norman from 1-4pm.
