It is with heavy hearts that the family of David Couvillon share the news of his passing on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. He was 78 years old. He was married to Donna Couvillon (nee Gauthier) for nearly 54 years. A caring father to Kate Couvillon and remembered fondly by his late son Kevin Couvillon (2010). Brother to Janet Hazlett, Joanne (Sheryl), Michael (Belinda), and also remembered brother Marilyn James (2019). For over 60 years, he was a close friend and travel buddy to Allan and Renée Mac Kenzie. David will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He worked for 32 years with the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board. Proud member of the Knights of Columbus, he also generously gave time to Big Brothers Big Sisters. David’s generosity showed in more ways than one – including donating blood more than 100 times. Traveling was one of his favorite things, both before retiring and after; he always looked forward to where he’d go next.
