With heavy hearts, the family of Maxine Stenlund, who everyone called “Max,” shares that she passed away suddenly on April 9, 2026, at 75 years old.
Maxine entered this world on October 25, 1950, in Nipigon, Ontario. She was the oldest daughter of Wilbur and Betty Boulter and grew up with seven siblings.
She loved fashion and spent a good chunk of her life working in retail where she made many lifelong friends. Folks especially remember her from her time at the store Dalmys. Max also enjoyed being outdoors-camping around northwestern Ontario with her husband Rizvan was one of her favorite things. More than anything else though, she adored hanging out with her grandchildren and spoiling them like grandmothers do.
People will recall Maxine for how caring she was; she had this natural instinct to look after those close to her. Her kind heart showed through in the way she treated family and friends-with warmth and a motherly touch.
She leaves behind her daughter Svea; son Aaron (Rachel); brothers Eddy (Barb), Arthur (Diane), Carolyn (Forge), and Arlene (Bob); nieces Madison, Alexa, Ruby; nephew Gage; and of course her husband Rizvan Stenlund.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents Wilbur and Betty Boulter; brothers Gord, Billy, Danny; and son Andrew.
A gathering to celebrate Max’s life will take place at Current River recreation center on May 17th at 1 PM. Everyone is invited to come along.
