A man from Cambridge is in the hospital after what Waterloo Regional Police are calling a planned attack.
Officials say two masked men jumped the victim while he was sitting in a vehicle near Hespeler Rd. and Pinebush Rd. at about 10:30 p. m. on Wednesday.
The man was hurt with a sharp weapon but his injuries aren’t life-threatening. He was taken to a hospital outside the area for treatment.
The suspects are described as white males wearing masks covering their faces.
Police think this wasn’t random but targeted, and they’re still looking into it.
If anyone has any details or dashcam videos from around 10 p. m. to 11:30 p. m. on January 21 near that spot, they’re asked to contact WRPS at 519-570-9777, extension 4496.
