Obituary of Anna Maniaci | Windsor Chapel Funeral & Cremation

Anna Maniaci (born Flores) quietly passed on March 26, 2026, at the age of 84, surrounded by family who loved her dearly. She was married to Baldassare Maniaci for 65 years. Anna was a caring mom to Antonino Maniaci (Deborah), Maria Maniaci, and Francesca Maniaci (Dominique). She took great pride in being Nonna to Stephanie Allen (Kyle), Serena Maniaci, Mitchell Maniaci, and Lucas Stergianis, and a Great-Nonna to Myles Allen and Logan Allen. Anna also shared a close bond with her siblings Vito Flores (Sandy) and Rosa Galante (Paolo). Many cousins, nieces, and nephews from Canada, the U. S., and Sicily will fondly remember her. She was preceded in death by her parents Paolo and Francesca Flores as well as her sister Rosalia Bonventre and brother-in-law Salvatore Bonventre.

After coming to Canada in 1961 without any cooking skills, Anna quickly learned how to prepare meals. It became something she truly enjoyed-feeding her family and welcoming anyone who stepped into her home. She loved teaching others how to cook too. Her specialty dishes included Italian favorites like pizza, spingi, cannoli, and cassateddi. Many family bridal showers, baby showers, and weddings featured the beautiful Italian cookie trays she made with care.

Her kindness toward family and friends will be remembered with much love.

The family would like to thank everyone at Brouillette Manor and Windsor Regional Hospital – Metropolitain Campus (7th Floor) for their wonderful care during this time.
