Police have arrested a man and a woman from Cambridge connected to an ongoing human trafficking probe.
Back in March 2023, Waterloo Regional Police started looking into claims that a spa business near Industrial Rd. and Mc Govern Dr. was actually providing ‘sexual services.’
The investigation revealed the owners were making money by having women work for them offering these services to clients.
On April 11, officers raided both the business location and a home in Cambridge, confiscating a luxury SUV, the unit used by the business, and their corporate bank account.
A 45-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man from Cambridge were arrested and face multiple charges related to trafficking.
The police think there might be more victims out there.
