July 14th, 1960 – March 18th, 2026
We’re sad to share that Linda Roseanne Cole (née Danuk) passed away peacefully at her home in Sudbury, Ontario on March 18, 2026. She was 65 years old. Linda was born July 14, 1960, and was the daughter of the late Rodney “Roddy” Danuk and Delia “Dell” Danuk (née Harmer).
She was married to Brian Cole and was a proud mom to Angela Faubert (Leigh), Ryan Cole (Lyndsay), and Zachary Cole (Alandra). Linda also loved being grandma to Tianna (John), Ethan, Amber, Kaidyn, Dominick, and Demira. Plus she adored great-grandkids Crawford, Daria, Isabella, and Franco.
Linda’s siblings were Jane Dumont (predeceased) (Dave, predeceased), Donna Labre (Gerry, predeceased), Rhonda Danuk (predeceased), Bruce Danuk (Joanne), Gary Danuk (predeceased), Cindy Mc Donald (Randy), Kevin Danuk, Carl Danuk, Kim Leroux (Nestor), Danny Danuk (predeceased), Grant Danuk (Steve), Greg Danuk (Jackie, predeceased), and Brian Danuk. She’ll also be remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews as a loving aunt and great-aunt.
Linda shared a loving partnership with Sylvie Desrosiers and was a longtime companion to Judy Jolin.
If you knew Linda you’d know she was something special-completely herself with no filter. She had spunk for days and wore her heart right out there. One way she showed love? Cooking nonstop just so she could surprise you with your favorite meal. Family get-togethers weren’t the same without her starting some playful food fights that somehow brought everyone closer.
Being outdoors made her happy-especially barefoot by the water fishing for pickerel while rocking her usual sleeveless denim shirt. She spent many years pitching on the baseball field too; those friendships and memories meant everything to her.
Linda had a wild streak but underneath it all she always found her way back to those she cared about most.
The stories she leaves behind are crazy enough you’d think one life couldn’t hold them all-but hers did.
The family wants to say a big thanks to Sylvie Desrosiers for all the love and care shown during Linda’s last days.
There will be a celebration of Linda’s life sometime summer of 2026 – details coming later.
Cremation handled by Simple Wishes of the North in Sudbury along with Crystal Crematorium.
