Margaret Lillian Duncan (nee Flude), at the age of ninety and surrounded by family love, passed away on March 15, 2026, at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie. She went peacefully to be with her lord and saviour.
Born October 19, 1936, in Toronto, Ontario, Margaret’s life was all about her family. She was the wife of the late Russell Jack Duncan and mother to seven children. She truly held her family close and kept them connected.
She leaves behind her children Dave Legros, Michelle Laube (Stan), Kathy Crowe (Keith), Sandy Dilworth (Matt Pfaff), Will Legros (Ingrid) and Trish Duncan-Girard (Bishop). Her son Gord Legros passed before her. Margaret also had thirteen grandchildren: Gord, Matt, Laura, Danielle, Stephanie, Allison, Jackie, Alex, Liam, Nate, Andie, Hannah and Owen who meant the world to her. Plus six great-grandchildren now-and she was excited for three more due this year.
The funeral will be at Basic Funerals-Jennett Memorial Centre located at 152 Bradford Street in Barrie on Monday March 23rd. Visiting starts at 1:00 pm with service following at 2:00 pm; a reception will come after.
