Hamilton man charged after Cambridge business defrauded of $140K

Back in February 2022, police got a tip from a business about some possible inside fraud. That’s when they started digging into the matter.

After more than a year of investigating, on Feb. 10, 2023, officers arrested someone connected to stealing around $141,000 from that Cambridge firm.

The suspect is a 41-year-old man from Hamilton who now faces charges of fraud over $5,000 and money laundering, according to police statements.

The Commercial Fraud Unit of the Waterloo Regional Police Service is still working on this case.
