Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) are looking into reports of gunshots fired early Tuesday morning in Cambridge, and they’ve now shared clear security video showing exactly what happened.
The police said the shooting took place around 1:45 a. m. when they got called to Arthur Fach Drive, which is in the east part of Cambridge near Can-Amera Parkway and Townline Road.
Investigators mentioned that a house was struck “multiple times by gunfire.” Photos from the spot show several marks on the garage and front door where police tape has been placed.
Since then, regional police released footage from a security camera that captured the whole thing from beginning to end.
The video shows a dark-colored vehicle pulling up beside the home. A suspect leans out of the passenger window with what looks like white plastic bags over their hands, holding two pistols ready to fire.
They fired more than 15 shots one after another at the house. The video’s clear enough to see muzzle flashes, gun recoil, and even bullet casings flying out of the guns.
Photos from the scene reveal up to 14 possible bullet holes along the side of the home. Police have marked those spots carefully. Officers kept the area taped off most of Tuesday while investigating.

No arrests have been made yet, but officers confirmed nobody was injured during the shooting, which they believe was targeted.
They’re now trying to talk to whoever owns that vehicle and anyone inside it seen in the footage related to this case.
