The only Harley-Davidson dealership in Waterloo Region, Cambridge’s Blackbridge Harley-Davidson, is planning to close by the end of this month.
“After years of building community, culture, and memories on two wheels, Blackbridge and Rocky’s Harley-Davidson will cease operations effective June 30, 2025,” said the business through a post on social media.
This decision comes as a result of what they describe as “mounting economic pressures, a declining retail landscape, and ongoing instability in the industry.” They say these challenges have made it impossible for them to keep going.
The dealership has been part of the area for 70 years. Erin Mitchell took over as owner and general manager back in 2019.
Their online update mentioned that their showroom stopped welcoming walk-in customers on June 12 but has been running by appointment only since then. They plan to continue like this until they officially close.
“We’re especially proud of our crew, our customers, and the riding culture we’ve helped nurture. We put it all on the line, and we would do it again. This is not the end of the road, it’s just the end of our time riding this particular route.”
