We’re excited to share who made the cut as finalists for the Cambridge Independent Business Awards 2025.
These awards celebrate businesses of every kind and size throughout our region, and this is only our second year running them – we got a fantastic number of strong nominations.
The winners will be announced at a gala event in the stunning Great Hall at King’s College, Cambridge, on Thursday, 25 September.
With Barr Ellison Law as our headline sponsor, these awards recognize businesses at all stages-from fresh start-ups to scale-ups and long-established companies, no matter their size.
Paul Brackley, editor and chair of the judging panel, said: “Well done to all our finalists. We were impressed by the quality of entries and it was a challenging task to select our shortlist. That is an encouraging sign for the region’s business community: it shows the Cambridge region continues to achieve and innovate.
“The Cambridge Independent Business Awards are a showcase of talent. They demonstrate the ingenuity and hard work that drives the region’s economy and, I hope, will help inspire others. We look forward to revealing the winners in the wonderful surroundings of King’s College next month.”
We’re also announcing today that the Mayor’s Award for Scale-up of the Year is being sponsored by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. The mayor himself, Paul Bristow, will present this award and speak to everyone during the ceremony.
Mr Bristow commented: “Cambridge is of international significance. The Cambridge Independent Business Awards are a chance to celebrate all the amazing businesses based right here, whose growth is central to our region’s success.
“That’s why I’m delighted about the Mayor’s Award for Scale-up of the Year. Governments don’t create jobs and wealth. Our businesses do that, by expanding, innovating, taking risks and – in our case – often leading the world. We should cheer them on, and we will this September.”
The night kicks off with a networking reception sponsored by HSBC before we announce winners across all categories.
